Bender MedSystems BioLISA Technology

Bender MedSystems BioLISA combines the advantages of high specificity and accuracy of an immunoassay with the functionality of a bioassay. This is achieved by using the natural receptor bound to a solid phase (microtiter plate) instead of a capture antibody. Only the free cytokine or growth factor, capable of binding to its receptor is captured in a BioLISA. The detection of the receptor-bound cytokine / growth factor is achieved with an enzyme-linked antibody against the respective molecule. BioLISA technology provides a useful tool to measure biologically relevant levels of TNF-alpha or VEGF-A without interference of binding partners in the sample.
